Decentra.Farm: Fresh, Organic Produce

Delivering sustainable agricultural solutions in Upper Marlboro and Beltsville, Maryland.

From Healing to Harvest: Your Wellness, Our Why

If you’ve ever stood in a grocery aisle questioning what’s really in your food — or felt the frustration of watching fresh produce spoil before you could use it — you’re not alone.

Maybe you're a parent trying to make healthier meals with limited time. Maybe you’ve struggled with chronic illness or fatigue and sensed that food might be part of the answer. Or maybe you're simply tired of overpriced “organic” labels that still leave you wondering how your food was grown.

We see you.
We’ve been you.

At Decentra.Farm, we believe food should nourish, not confuse. It should energize, not deplete. And most of all, it should be grown with care — for your body, your family, and the land that sustains us all.

A Vision Rooted in Faith and Soil

A Vision Rooted in Faith and Soil

With newfound health and a renewed spirit, Larry turned to the soil. He began growing real food using methods inspired by nature itself — no tilling, no chemicals, and no shortcuts. Just a profound observation of Mother Earth and a commitment to growing in a way that honors her rhythms.

What started in a humble backyard, once called a “garden” but praised as a “farm” by neighbors, has now evolved into Decentra.Farm. Built on two quarter-acre plots, it defies the conventional scale of farming while showcasing just how powerful small, intentional agriculture can be. The goal isn’t to feed the masses, but to nourish the few deeply and meaningfully.

What Makes Us Different

Beyond Organic

We don’t use pesticides, fungicides, fertilizers, or any synthetic interventions. Our methods emulate natural ecosystems — leaves fall, compost builds, and life flourishes.

Sustainably Local

Serving the DMV region (Washington, D.C., Maryland, and parts of Northern Virginia), our produce is always local, always fresh.

Farm2Table with a Twist

From kale to Murasaki sweet potatoes, our produce isn’t just nutritious — it’s unique. Our premium greens mix, for example, works equally well in salads, stir-fries, or sautéed with your favorite protein.

Purpose Before Profit

We don’t compete. We contribute. Our focus is on adding value to our customers’ lives — not just their plates.

Who We Serve

Health-conscious individuals, families seeking better nutrition, and those passionate about supporting local agriculture that restores and regenerates our land. Whether you're a busy parent wanting easy meal solutions or someone exploring a journey toward wellness, you’re welcome here.

Decentra.Farm isn’t just a place where food grows. It’s a place where transformation happens — from the soil to the soul.

Larry

Founder

Visionary Grower. Faith-Driven Healer. Community Educator.

Larry is the heart behind Decentra.Farm — a farmer whose journey to the land was born from personal transformation and unwavering faith.

After being diagnosed in 2015 with life-threatening illnesses including cancer, diabetes, and severe kidney damage, Larry’s life took a dramatic turn. Faced with a health crisis and seeking answers beyond conventional medicine, he turned inward — and upward — asking the Creator for guidance. The answer was simple but profound: “Eat My food.”

This moment changed everything.

Embracing a new lifestyle grounded in whole, unprocessed foods and mineral-rich nutrition, Larry experienced a remarkable recovery. As his health returned, so did his purpose — and Decentra.Farm was born from that mission to heal, grow, and give back.

A Teacher Turned Farmer

With a background in instructional technology and years of experience guiding educators to integrate tech into K–12 classrooms, Larry brought his passion for learning into the field. Today, he works with the University of the District of Columbia in a workforce development initiative focused on beginning farm business training/guidance — a rare program aimed not just at growing and selling crops, but at guiding how to build a sustainable farm-based livelihood.

Through Decentra.Farm, Larry continues to document and share his growing methods, business strategies, and agricultural insights so others can replicate these practices — whether on a third of an acre or in a single raised bed.

A Different Kind of Farmer

Larry isn’t chasing mass production. He’s cultivating intentional, ethical, regenerative farming. At Decentra.Farm, no chemicals are used. The soil isn’t tilled. Instead, Larry models his practices after nature herself — letting leaves fall, compost form, and life regenerate naturally.

He doesn’t see other farmers as competitors, but as collaborators in a shared mission to feed communities real, healing food. His ultimate goal? To show others they, too, can grow — in health, in knowledge, and purpose.

“I’m not here to push food. I’m here to offer something meaningful — a way to eat better, live better, and reconnect with the source of life itself.”

– Larry, Founder of Decentra.Farm
